Quick Summary: 2 Moons the Series has alternative name called, Moon Courting Moon. It’s the love story about Wayo, a freshman biology college student, who has pursued his high school crush Phana. Through a series of misunderstandings and shenanigans the two find their way to each other. The series also includes two other couples.

My General Thoughts: Wayo is just too pure for this world. We all need best friends like Ming. The guy knows how to support a friend in the times of need. Phana may have the body of a god but the guy sure doesn’t have the intelligence of one in book 2-3. Ming and Kit are like my everything. I think that Forth and Beam could have potential, but like a lot of authors in the BL realm tsundere’s are common. WHHHHYYYYYYY IS PRING AND PARK NOT IN JAIL? Phana is hands down a dumbass in the second extra. No, we need full closure on all three but all we got was Phana and Wayo. Thank god for fanfiction!

What I Did Like:

• Ming was like the best friend a person can ask for.
• Wayo in the first book was strongest in the first book.
• Phana was consistent from in all books.
• Ming and Kit getting together.
• Ming gives zero thought to people knowing he is bisexual and is proud of Kit. He never hides him.
• Phana isn’t ashamed and doesn’t hide that he is in a relationship with Wayo.
• I 95% enjoy the fairy gang.
• All the books have a division of dialogue and description.
• Good pacing.
• Heated Romance scenes for Phana and Wayo were written well.
• Heated Romance scenes for Beam and Forth were written well.
• All soft romance scenes between the couples were perfect!

What I Didn’t Like:

• That Kit and Ming didn’t get any heated romance scenes. We got two a piece from the other couples.
• Beam continuously smacks Forth.
• Beam being a more violent tsundere.
• Park sexually assaulting Wayo.
• Pring getting away with aiding Park to sexually assault Wayo.
• Phana’s stupid testing in the second extra book.

Would I Re-Read: Yes

Final Thoughts: This book is original in Thai. I read a non-profit translation version of the novels. Please understand that in reading those types of translation it is more of a retelling of what happens in the books. This is because the translator might not understand cultural differences or slang. Also they can edit out things that they think aren’t necessary to the storyline. Keep in mind that this book is set in Thailand and there will be cultural differences.

Anyways, the translation I read made me fall in love with the series.  How originally saw the couples for the romantic tropes is that Phana and Wayo – is the sweet love, Kit and Ming – is the angsty aka tsundre love, and Forth and Beam – are the intense/ sexy love. I got this impression because of the marketing for the couples. However, Forth and Beam are stuck in a violet angsty kind of love.  This made their story a bit difficult for me to read but that was the small issue I had. The hugest issue I have is the second and third book revolve around horrible rumor that Wayo is being an escort. At the end of second book you think that it is over with but in the third book he is sexually assaulted by a guy- who tries to be his friend while being determined to date him despite knowing he is with Phana.  We find out who the culprits are but nothing is really addressed. All we find out is that Phana beat up Park with Forth. We do get to witness how well Phana handles the trauma Wayo goes through. I was disappointed that there wasn’t any real development with Kit and Ming after Kit agrees to be Ming’s boyfriend. Other than those issues I really liked the books and I’ve already reread them two or three times!
