Hi Darlings!
I am here to serve you with another suspense novel! I found this book when I was going through the bargain section of Books A Million. I snagged it for a great deal of $6! This is my first book by Alice Feeney. This is a stand alone book.

Sometimes I Lie follows Amber Reynolds – a middle aged woman who wakes up mentally while the rest of her body is in coma. She has no clue how she got there. What she does know through listening to the people around her: her husband isn’t in love with her, her sister is acting suspicious, and a familiar but known voice telling her dark information. Amber is fighting to remember how she fell into coma and wake herself up before it’s too late.
The plot is well thought out and has a good pace. I like that there isn’t any lingering plot bunnies. Amber is a great main character who has some character growth. Her truest growth happens near the end of the book when Amber’s real side is revealed. She is deceptive and wonderful. I want to give you a heads up there is a RAPE scene in the book while Amber is in coma. I am so glad that Feeney handled the resolution to that event very well. Paul -Amber’s husband is redeemed in the book because of this. Her sister never recovered as be liked for me and she deserved her bitter ending in the book! I wouldn’t reread this book because I felt like the book wrapped itself up in a bow. I give this book a 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. I do recommend this book if you’d like to read a suspense book!
