Hi Darlings!
How are you doing so far into the new year? I think I am doing fine for the most part. I did have to get a new computer. I really like my new one. It’s the HP Streaming Laptop. It runs smoothly and is compact so I enjoy it. But we aren’t here to discuss that are we? I saw this post from Bre @ Perpetual Fangirl where she shares the 90’s movie book tag. Check out her post here. Feel free to do this one your own and let me know your thoughts below in the comments.
She’s All That: Name a book that is an odd pairing but they still fit perfectly
The Two Gentlemen from Altona by Lisa Henry and J.A. Rock. This book is the prime example of this! Mac and Henry have good chemistry but if you look too close at them their oddness sticks out so much.
10 Things I Hate About You: A book/series that you have a love/hate relationship with
Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward is a series that I have a love/hate relationship with. The series started out so well but then it has spun out to where Ward at times makes the characters unrecognizable. Her drastic change in characters has had me hesitant to buy books from her. The last book from the series I read was The Chosen.
Clueless: A character that is totally clueless but you love them anyway
Lana from The Noodle Shop Mystery series by Vivien Chien. Lana is more on the naïve side and there isn’t anything wrong with that. It was makes her a loveable leading lady.
Titanic: Name a book that made you cry
Blood of Wonderland by Colleen Oakes was book that made me cry. The cliff hanger ending would make anyone’s own heart crack. It’s tough when someone manipulates someone else into loving them. It’s so sad!
American Pie: A book that makes you laugh
The Darkest Kiss by Gena Showalter is one of my favorite books that makes me laugh. It features the couple Lucien and Anya. Anya is a goddess of chaos and she has fallen for Lucien, keeper of the demon of death. They are definitely opposites attract couple.
Can’t Hardly Wait: A book with a crazy party
Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter features a party at a club and it gets crazy when Zombies show up!
Cruel Intentions: Name a character that you can never fully trust
Mare from Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. I feel like because of her flakey nature that it has made me not trust her at all. I wasn’t disappointed in my thoughts because I was recently spoiled and I want to say I called it!
Drive Me Crazy: Name your favorite “boy next door” or “girl next door” couple
Seth and Darren from Covet They Neighbor by LA. Witt is one of my favorite boy next door couples. These two guys have the perfect connection and outside forces making their relationship rocky but good.
Scream: A book with a memorable villain
Amy Dunn from Gone Girl. This girl is a villain that knows how to bake her cake and eat it to. She even gets to keep her victim for the rest of his life. It is devilishly good thriller book.
The Craft: Name a book with witches
A Shadow Bright & Burning by Jessica Clueless is a great new take on witches.
