Hi Blogtobers!
So I went to a con this past weekend! I went to Asheville’s Scarefest con. If you are wondering what is Scarefest? Scarefest is a con that is mostly for Pathfinder. Pathfinder is an rpg game that was created in 2009 that is similar to D&D. They have other things likes a board game café. They had a great snacks lounge and other cool things to sign up for. I went there for all three nights. The staff was super nice and accommodating. I liked how the facility was well maintained and extremely handicap accessible! I had my brother that is currently in a wheel chair with me. There was an incident when the elevator went out and staff and some of the other players helped to get him to the main floor. They were amazing. The specials were well hosted. Half their proceeds this year went to the Transgender Community in the area of Asheville.
I would advise that if you don’t buy a meal ticket invest in that. I didn’t and had to make a few food runs. The food vendor only offers snacks like chips and chocolate. The vendor does have drink cards that you can pay $7 for and get six drinks of your choice. Also that lunches are thirty minutes between sessions. So keep that in mind because they start the session back up on time. I didn’t stay in the con hotel. I stayed in a a hotel about ten minutes down the road. Other than that you are all set! I will be going back next time!
