Name vicious villains.

Maven, from the Red Queen Series by Victoria Aveyard. His cruelty and indifference to what he has done stems from his mother removing his humanity/feelings from him leaving in place her own violently happy voice in his head. Her death made it worse just like with Norma and  Norman Bates in Bates Hotel.  Just to name one of his horrid actions against Mare is that he would kill other hybrid silvers leaving her letters telling her it was her fault.

Dorothy, from the Dorothy Must Die series by Danielle Paige. This is such a good series. (My knowledge comes from book 1 and 2). Dorothy was taken up to Oz where she supposedly saved OZ from the Wicked Witch of the West and found  a way back. When she came back her power went to her head and turned into a tyrannical ruler with an evil Glinda at her side. One of the things is that she requires her staff maidens to wear magic cosmetics that force them to smile.

Lash,  from the Black Dagger Brotherhood. This male vampire was truly one for the series. He found out that he was mistaken for being the vampire born to be the Omega’s weapon against the brotherhood. We thought that he got his comeuppance but apparently from an interview with J.R. Ward this blond nightmare isn’t dead yet.
